When Do You Deserve Mercy and Grace?

I am all about holding people accountable and understanding that actions have consequences. But, I am also very grateful for the grace and mercy I have received not only from God but from many people over the years.

I don’t know all of the facts about the situation that led up to the resignation of Cale Gundy. I don’t know if he has received a lot of grace and mercy over the years for this type of behavior, but what I do know is that I haven’t been aware of one instance of impropriety over his 23 years as a coach at Oklahoma.

I would like to know, because I am a huge fan of the Sooners and love the fact that Coach Venables seems to be committed to making an impact on these young men, and not just from the football aspect. But, I am not owed the specifics. I just hope that only the truth will be told and that rumors and speculation will not be reported as the truth. This will effect a good man and 100 or more young men that are left to deal with this family matter.
