Let’s look at some micro habits that will allow you to start stacking good days.
When you awake in the morning,
What is your very 1st thought?
If you continued that thought all day, what kind of day would you have?
Good or bad?
Your first thought is the first opportunity you have each day to create a good day.
To have the best day you can have you can’t start creating it at 10 or noon or 5 … you must start immediately.
How can you create a habit of your 1st thought each day being a good one?
6 Steps to Start Every day With a Good Thought.
1. Memorize Psalm 118:24 “This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.”
2. Recite this Psalm every night right before going to sleep.
3. Have this Psalm printed out & carry it with you & look at it from time to time.
4. Consciously tell yourself before going to sleep that you will repeat this Psalm as soon as you wake.
5. Don’t read or watch the news at all preferably but specifically after you eat dinner & prior to going to sleep.
6. Read 10 pages of a good book before going to sleep.
What kind of day will you have if the very first thought on your mind each day - barely conscious - is:
“This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it”?
That puts a smile on your heart & an enthusiastic outlook on life.
